I'm talking about gaga. Like Sam Jay said Gaga is this kind of artist that if you like the music then you buy it. Gaga is not like everyone. She sells when her music is good. With The Fame Gaga was new and had two mega hits PF and JD. Also in 2008/2009 it was cool to have Gaga's album not because it was her best but because of the name LADY GAGA.

Born this way takes a giant dump on The fame monster. And on every other pop album released since then tbh. The only reason many people can't see that because of a few mediocre songs on it. Artpop is an okay album but it's absolutely awful compared to the epic-sounding BTW. But it was fans who asked for a mindless, fun pop record and on that front Gaga did deliver.

Bad Romance is flawless masterpiece, but other than that how can you say any song on TFM is better than Bloody Mary, EC, HML, TEOG, BTW, MTN and so on is just beyond me.

It always feels like it's because of its success rather than just the quality that people praise TFM. I am perfectly aware that it's one of the best albums (TFM) but still... BTW > TFM

But ARTPOP is not mindless or fun it's just nonsensical lyrics put together that can't form a cohesive sentence for the most part. And this era she wasn't "fun" or "mindless", she was the exact opposite and got super preachy and tried to explain the concept of her "art". Lol.
That being said, ARTPOP is not a terrible album but Born This Way is still Gaga's masterpiece.

Same, except I genuinely love Gypsy as well. It's just a perfect album to me. I've never loved an album as dearly as I love ARTPOP. If only I could tell this to Gaga haself...I feel like she would love to hear it.
