‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ Becomes Best-Selling Movie of All Time on Fandango

“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” hasn’t even opened yet and the science-fiction fantasy has already sold more tickets than any other film in history on Fandango.

The seventh film in the hit franchise previously shattered pre-sales records, but now the online ticketer reports that it has sold more tickets than any film has moved during its entire theatrical run.

To earn the record, “The Force Awakens” moved past “Jurassic World.” The rest of the top five biggest sellers are “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire,” “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” and “The Hunger Games.”

You really think so? I watched in 3D but I really can't think of 2D being half as good. It looked INCREDIBLE. It added SO MUCH texture and layers the scenes, especially the space and battle ones. i mean that scene when Kylo stopped Poe's shot with the force, how ****ing cool that looked in 3D???

It was really good 3D, but I wouldn't try to convince someone to see it in 3D tbh, I didn't notice it most of the time. Best bit was where Kylos ship was threatening to poke my eye out.

I'm loving the new love triangle by the way, I wonder if Finn will end up with Rey or Poe. I know who my preference is for.

Does anyone feel like they've tried tor recreate moments from the original trilogy? I think they did that but it doesn't feel 'repetitive' either it just works. I mean the whole beginning feels so much like A New Hope with BB8 being in this R2 position.

Snoke was interesting, was he really that size in real life? Or was it just because he was a hologram? What's his main purpose with Kylo, and what are the Knights of Ren?

I definitely think it's not his real size, it's just the hologram just like the Emperor's hologram in EPV. I remember rumors about how Episode VII would be about the emperor's secret sith army. While I don't think that's the case I feel like Snoke is trying to create a sith army.

So it's been like 10 hours since I finished watching it and lemme just say that I'm still crushed about Han Solo dying. I literally woke up this morning feeling exhausted and broken.

He's my favorite SW character of all time and I wasn't expecting him to die when I arrived to the movies. When Leia told him to get her son and how Ben still had light in him I knew it was over. (Also I liked how she used the same phrase Padmé told Obi Wan).

But stil!! When Han started walking towards him I was like NOOOOOOOOOOOO and then Ben wouldn't let go of his saber and omg NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. My heart was SO broken. So so so broken, I cried so much but tbh for the next 10 min or so I couldn't fully enjoy the movie 'cause I kept replaying that scene on my head. Sorry for being so extra, mom.

There were also many little references to the old movies and I quite enjoyed that for the sake of nostalgia, for example, when Rey was such an excellent pilot it gave me severe Anakin teas in Episode I, which is a moment I haven't seen being talked about a lot unlike some others.

I liked it a lot. It was dark. It was humorous. It felt like I was watching Star Wars.
The acting was good. The cinematography was good. The editing was good.

This wasn't just a movie, this was an EXPERIENCE.

For the people that watched Naruto, the Knights of Ren is sorta like the Akatsuki. They're an elite group, a society of some sort, but it seems like each member has their inner motives. From what I read, they a very old organization, and it's not sure if they still exist, how many members are left, etc. Also it's not clear if all of them are traditional Siths.

Snoke is clearly going to be the Wizard of Oz of the Star Wars universe. I'm fully expecting Rey and her band of misfits to pull open a curtain to reveal a tiny unthreatening man behind the mask of Snoke at some point in episode 9. Maybe a Yoda without the self confidence to own his height. Might not be the best villain though, I guess.. Hm

I hope he is that height though because, why not? If he was some kind of Force Ghost that'd be pretty damn awesome too.
