How is she not? Britney has released 6 albums of studio material, Brit has written more songs than Gaga has, etc. Lady Gaga's one album can't trump Britney's music career. The question itself it's a little...
Get off your high horse. It's sad how much it irks you when people make valid criticisms of Britney. You do realize she's more successful than either GaGa or Katy will ever be, right? And I don't let that bother me. It's not a lot to ask for a little respect from you, Rico, or Alex.
Anthony, thank you for responding in a civil manner. I agree with your post.
LMAO. I wasn't even referring to your posts, obviously. I was pointing at those who came in here just to post those ridiculous statements like "The Fame is >>>> Britney's entire discography" and some **** like that for the sake of being retarded.
Anyway, I have a book for you to read

Your criticism of Britney always comes off as biased to me. It's like you deliberately sugarcoat your words with a positive thought only to inject one of your completely biased statements, and then claim that you're making a valid criticism. It's like you flush all the years that Britney spent to deliver masterpieces like "In The Zone" and "Blackout" with one line like "Britney has been handheld her entire career" and that is quite absurd.
And I think what makes people like Anthony and Rico (and me?) write books to you when you say such thing is because they know Britney very well and they've read/seen all sorts of info that indicates her involvement, and they know she's not the type of artist to go left and right talking about how "in control" she is with her work and image. It's just not her. So just because she doesn't seem as expressive about what she does behind the scenes of her career doesn't mean she's a robot or less ambitious than other artists regarding their work and image.
Sounds hot,I picture something like "Do Somethin'".
& btw, Rihanna & Gaga stans, Brit did the whole dark electro-pop genre FIRST with Blackout, which then kick-started this wave of "sinister-sounding" pop. (& Rihanna has said she was inspired by Backout herself, so...) Kthnxbai.

I'm sorry, but "dark electro-pop" or whatever has been around since the 80s. Y'all really need to let that one rest.

thank you. Neither Britney, Gaga, or Rihanna (the latter of which I haven't ever seen do "Dark-Electro") have created nor perfected, or innovated the genre. Plain and simple.
Secondly, do ya'll arguing about this even know what it is? I really don't think you do. Firstly, it's not a new genre, if the person that said the quote was smart, they'd actually know what "Dark-Vampiric Electro" is, no it's not "Blackout".
The genre consists of elements of New Age, Classical-Electronica, Dark-Ambient, and usually has instrumental elements of Piano, Violin and of course light Synthesizers. It is almost always very poetic lyrically and musically, thus keeping with the theme of vampires (do research on them, they aren't just sexual beings who drink blood as modern tv shows). It has an 'essential' theme, and it's something artists have been doing for YEARS upon years. Not a new genre.
It's basically this:
it can also sound a bit lighter:
Some of ya'll need to widen music tastes a little, and I hardly think Britney's version of this genre will be anything extremely deep, or instrumental like the genre requires, it'll likely be a watered down version of what her producers think it is. Therefor, it's not dark vampiric, it's just electo-pop/dance. Probably techno.

LMFAO. We're not here for your Wikipedia researches, Beethoven.
DEAD @ y'all deducting what the genre might sound like.
What's even funnier it's the Gaga and Rihanna stans saying they invented this so-called new genre. As if. Britney's Deep In My Heart is darker than any of the disposable songs those two 2nd rate pop acts have recorded.

Rico, PLEASE. You said all of that to say what? I don't think I said otherwise, so don't toss my name into your responses. All I said was that I prefer Gaga's music to Britney. I didn't my time spent on the board had meant I had to worship Britney like everyone else.
Actually, you said GaGa is superior to Britney when it comes to music. Then, you were trying to diss me for calling you out on that insanity and generalized what I said.
So, I'd say you don't get to complain if someone is surprised when you reach such unacceptable levels as even daring to put Britney's 10 years old career and GaGa's 1 year on the same sentence.
