we can talk about ifs all day, the fact remains that Demi got 3 singles, Selena got 2 - with more singles Selena would've sold more. this is as basic as i can make it

a radio adds date by a few weeks doesn't change anything

it was ~coming off the momentum of Heart Attack so it should've done better. and bringing up WOMH's video views when it took 2 years to reach 40 million and only reached 100 million after the massive exposure of Bangerz is just.

Demi doesn't have radio power so obviously this effected her. It's not hard to GRASP.

So why didn't Neon Lights bomb on radio when it was released MONTHS after MITUSA flopped?

You have no excuse as to why MITUSA didn't get airplay - It flopped cause NOBODY wanted it.

and my examples were meant to be exaggerated cause 'if' arguments can be made for ANYTHING.
If Adore You got more airplay it would've hit top 10
if Who Says got more airplay it would've hit top 20
you can cling to ifs all you want but the fact of the matter is Demi got more singles than Selena and has yet to outsell her. with more singles Selena would've sold more.

I was talking about Neon Lights the single.

We're only saying it had no promo because it hasn't been performed in the US since November 2013. That's 5 months compared to Slow Down's 2 months before she started promoting it again on TV.

what have I even made up? You all said Neon Lights got virtually no promo yet you just sat up here and pretended that performing a song on tour > performing a song on TV.

I never said it got a huge amount of promo - but you all have said it didn't count cause "not a single yet!"

if anyone's making up anything - it's you trying to fish some way out of excusing MITUSA's embarrassing flopping on the charts.

but going by YOUR logic, Slow Down was never a single in Europe since it didn't do well there. Remember, it doesn't count as album promotion if it didn't do well!

Radio just gave up on it because it got pushed back and wasn't pushed on radio (pushed on radio such as interviews which will get the station that interviewed to add the song or spin it oh and the label putting up ads) and don't give me that "it would've smashed without adds date if it was meant to smash!!" excuse because it doesn't apply to almost every artist.
