she managed to top itunes in over 40 countries 1 week ago, shes still relevant whether you like it or not, and her carreer was super high in 2007 and 2008

I'd say it died down many years later. Remember that during her big musical hiatus all the eyes of the public and the media were on her, they were interested in her personal life and they followed her everywhere. It all peaked in 2007, and then it truly died down in early 2008 when she had an hospitalization followed by an extended media abscence.

Her career was at a peak in 2007 based on how **** her life was at that point and what an utter mess she became...nothing to do with being an artist or creating music...It's not exactly something to be proud of.
