It's interesting someone mentioned how
Circus and
FF were TRASHED before getting rehabilitated years after they came out. ("It's awful","Her worst album","The next one can't be worse","She should retire"...) The music changes but the speech patterns and tantrums don't.
I'm not sure it's going to be the same for
Britney Jean but I know there was just too many things against it, for most to give it a fair chance (the FLOPPAGE, the first week sale, Beyoncé's surprise release, the charts placement, the anger of many about Vegas). Also, don't forget we made a poll about the least listened to album and we had the same people, who posted some very harsh words about the record, admitting they had never listened to it.
Personally, I found it refreshing to have an album picking up where
Britney ended and giving us a perspective of the place she's in, as an adult ("Alien", "Passenger", "Perfume", "Till It's Gone", "Don't Cry" & "Hold On Tight"). It may not have been the thorough psychanalysis some would have wanted but I find it surrealist to even expect that from her after the violence of the public execution she was subjected to, a few years ago!
I still don't buy the Myah conspiration because she doesn't really sound like Britney (her solo stuff is on youtube, go hear for yourselves) or the fact she hated what she was recording seeing how engaged and convincing she sounds on most of the songs.
