I was actually slayed by it.
Obviously its not as good as her other albums but it has some good songs (Alien, Work Bitch, Tik Tik Boom, Perfume, Passenger, Brightest Morning Star and Now That I've Found You)
ATRL usually overexaggerates a lot of stuff, but they weren't exaggerating with Britney Jean. It was really THAT bad. From the lazy rushed production, to Britney barely breathing on this album, to the false promises that this was going to be her best album yet.
It makes the Femme Fatale album look like Thriller in comparison.
There are just no redeeming qualities about the album. I can usually play the hell out of a Britney album for the first three months after release, but I just had no desire to listen to Britney Jean after two times.
it was disappointing as a Britney stan, because of the way it was hyped up but i can't say i was expecting too much after I learned will.i.am was involved. but it's still a decent pop album with catchy songs...definitely not "unlistenable" as some of yall make it out to be
Yes. I only like Work Bitch, Perfume, Body Ache (isn't that great), Brightest Morning Star (isn't that great) and Hold On Tight (isn't that great). The rest is freaking trash. Actual trash.
No it wasn't THAT bad, I actually use some of the songs (HOT, BA, TIG)
The only reason I bash it so much is because I'm mad at Britney and her team for promising her fans that it's her most personal album and that she had so much input when, in reality, it isn't personal AT ALL and she clearly had no input AT ALL. Also, the fact that some other bitch is singing half of the album for her makes it even worse. I'm glad it flopped. Britney and her team should learn not to be so deceptive and con her fans.
It's not nearly as bad as people say it is. I love more than half of the album... Alien, Work Bitch, Tik Tik Boom, Til It's Gone, Passenger, Brightest Morning Star, and Hold on Tight are all great, and the rest are perfectly fine. Alien and Work Bitch are two of Britney's best songs ever. People are such fairweather fans and bandwagon haters.
This thread should get bumped more often because I want someone from Britney's team to feel embarrassed of themselves!! BJ ruined such an amazing discography.
It's the only Britney Spears album that sounds CHEAP and amateurishly produced. You can say a lot of things about her music, but her albums always sounded flawless production-wise. This was a goddamn mess.
This is so true. Her other albums are very good because the producers used to give her their best work. Excluding WB and Perfume, BJ sounds like a bunch of leftovers.
