Pop music in the US would be so much more entertaining

the west is obsessed with 'authenticity'. like who cares if you can write your own music when it sounds like NO or some BS Ed Sheeran ballad. even the worst k pop groups are better than american pop stars imo

I just want great performances, good vocals, and bops
You would get my coins for sure and I'd probably attend your concert
Am tired of all these horrible midtempos and ballads because of this "authenticity" craze

Have side projects/minis/EPs like the Kpop groups do, and then have your main album to release
This is why they can take a break and deliver good bops almost annually

Americans/Brits don't want a show, they want a friend. The more relatable the better. Or they buy into the other extreme where the celeb is larger than life and they are just in awe by their existence rather than the music or performance. Unfortunately a manufactured high quality pop act wouldn't impress them at all.
