Katy could literally do a Madonna rip-off like she did with Brave and Madonna wouldn't even bother cause she knows that Katy is not a threat to her throne, but with Gaga it was all different.

The only thing that needs to be canceled right now is The X Factor, I think that Grey's Anatomy re-runs are having like 2 or 3 more million viewers that them.
Radio is also a giant mafia and corporate interests heavily influence playlists. It's not at all an accurate representation of "the people's will" and what songs are truly beloved by the masses. But they do play things they think people will enjoy to some extent, at least songs that do not require much effort to be enjoyed.
Although DJ is generic done right & I like it as well.
I agree. I feel like DGUFIL was ridiculously overplayed to the point I don't listen to it on my own anymore.
I thought Looking 4 Myself was a really great, underrated album. My favorite of his along with Confessions. RvR is still great though, just not quite on those two albums levels.

There is nothing "tricky" about Beyonce boo. Pop doesn't =success. Honestly Pop can be anything,depending on the state of music at the time. Pop is what IS popular. A few years ago,before EDM took over the charts,Urban was "Pop"
