I don't mind that the era is over, just sad we didn't get a better single to send off the era with, but I'm ready to see what she's got up her sleeve next

Pretty much. A future 2 million, platinum selling album, a (soon to be) $50m grossing tour, 2 huge hits along with 2 hit collaborations and another platinum single, massive streaming, insane amount of media attention, VOTY win, Bambi, top 20 on Forbes, TIME, etc.
As frustrating as the era was with the amount of potential it had to keep going, it is depressing knowing songs like Drive, Someone Else, FU, 4x4 and of course Do My Thang never got released. But looking at the era objectively, this was an extreme amount of success and a great comeback.

Manager teas happening in here
I'm excited the most for Miley's next era because I feel like it could go in any direction. She needs a "Loud" era if she wants to continue on being commercially viable in the future. If she continues with the Bangerz thing and further engrains the twerking / 90s girl attitude she'll probably not do as well but it could still be really good.
I'm still bitter Drive isn't a single

Despite all the news about Jesse which shouldn't even be the main topic.. Miley has managed to help raise over $200,000 for My Friends Place to help youth homelessness

Vladd, IDK what is with you and this edge thing. There is no 'edge' to Miley, the entire Bangerz era was a hoax, a scam, a trick she schemed up with Larry for sales. Like if you want the 'real' Miley, then we'd all be getting an era full of ballads about dead dogs & trips to Trader Joes.
If you want Miley to stay relevant, releasing high budget colorful videos, getting the best promo spots, getting 'iconic' moments, getting hits, making prestigious lists, winning awards, etc. then you should want her to play it safe for at least one era, especially following Bangerz.
Like it's all relative common sense. you don't need some imaginary 'edge' each era, sometimes it's best to do what everyone else is doing (LOUD, Teenage Dream, My Everything etc.) & think about the long run. The reason Miley's whole twerking, controversy thing worked was not cause she was 'going against the grain! Edgy Miley!' it was cause twerking itself was blowing up in white america and she was lucky enough to hop on the trend before anyone else did. So doing this 'trippy' thing when nobody will ever be here for that except some Tumblr blogs is silly to wish for.

Ugh, I hate when you're right lmao. Idk I just loved the 'Bangerz' era and Miley making people mad and stirring **** up but you're right.
If anything I'd like Miley to have a LOUD era. My thing is I don't think people would buy Miley playing too nice and too safe, when I say 'edge' I want her to have some character and flavor to her lol. I think that's what people like, that she's not the sterotypical perfect pop princess and she could keep that lol. Like she can be sexy, but still be safe which is what I'm sure you guys mean.
Which is why I'd be cool with Miley doing like a psychedelic/flower child era with good, fun pop music but of course still mouthy and etc. that's all lol. IDK I guess I can't get over 'Bangerz' because I honestly loved it! I loved Miley's attitude, the music, the antics, it was fun to see Miley stir things up but it would be awesome to see Miley do a 'LOUD'-esque era.

I'm cool with it too as long as isn't too polarizing. Miley can do the paint thing, the glitter stuff but nothing too polarizing and over the top

Miley sounded & looked great yesterday. And I love the V Magazine cover, it's one of my favorite this era. #1 is still the Vogue cover(s).

Do you guys think RCA will let her to release a trippy Flaming Lips trash as a lead single? I want a Max Martin/Dr Luke song as a lead single but you all know how stubborn Miley is. Also i heard she fought with Dr.Luke

I'm pretty sure Miley said on the VMA red carpet that her music with The Flaming Lips was still pretty Pop. I don't like Wayne, but if Miley says it's still pretty Pop then we should just wait
Plus she's also working with Mike Will, but somehow I feel like he may get scrapped or only get like a track or two in the end
Yea her and Dr. Luke fought, but I'm pretty sure they're good now since they hung out during the Clive Davis party earlier this year

When looking at RCA's track record, Justin Timberlake and Miley are the only ones that released 'risky'-ish sounding songs for their lead. Usually it's a generic song that radio will eat up and hopefully her team is smart enough to trust her this go around.
P!nk - Blow Me (One Last Kiss)
Britney Spears - Hold It Against Me
Avril Lavigne - What The Hell
Alicia Keys - Girl On Fire
Ke$ha - Die Young
Kelly Clarkson - Mr. Know It All
And if things fail (or succeed), they always have a 2nd single locked up that'll be a secured hit (Wrecking Ball, Mirrors, Till The World Ends, Stronger, Try, etc.) So I'm not that worried knowing that RCA always keeps in mind what people want. But still, she really needs that Max Martin/Dr. Luke safe hit if the era is gonna do any sort of damage.
