Title: Make Him Understand
Producer: Timbaland with creative input from Miguel and Rodney Jerkins
Song concept: two women are pissed at their man's lack of attention so they stage a sexy intervention.
Tempo: uptempo
Music Video:
*Beyonce calls Mariah*
"Hey Mimi"
"Hey Bey what's going on?"
"Jay actin up again..working late and leaving me with Blue"
"Dahhhling Nick has been testing me too! Got me singing, collecting royalties AND taking care of twins? Hell no."
"So what we gonna do?"
"only one thing to do"
"Yup"
*clicks*
*Timbaland beat drops*
*Bey and Mimi text their man that they're fed up and going out*
Beyoncé and Mariah get all sexy (not too sexy but MILF-style) and they
meet up and take a limo ride. They're drinking splashes of champagne and are sticking their heads out of the sunroof.
They get out of the car and walk to the club bar...where tons of young men hit on them...and they flirt back and let the men buy them shots.
They dance (not choreography lmao)
They laugh...their men show up at the club jealous. They grab their men and take them to their respective homes.
Jay sits in a chair handcuffed as Beyoncé does a sultry lap dance on him.
Nick sits by a fireplace and Mariah is massaging him with body oils and flipping her hair all around all sexy.
The video ends with them each walking their partners to the bed.
They split the song line for line.
Heavy background vocal melodies going on too.
The first verse is while they're getting dressed up.
The first chorus is the limo ride.
The second verse is them taking shots.
The second chorus is when they get caught by Nick/Jay and take them home.
The bridge is the handcuffing and preparing the oils
The final chorus is the climax of the sexy dance/massage before they lead them to bed.

I hate that performance. A bitch couldn't have been bothered to move a damn thing. Everybody else is swaying and she had to be that ONE in the middle awkwardly not doing anything at all, and not even bothering to lip her whistles.

Only Mariah would.
But seriously, I hope the next era, she will start moving a lot more. I don't want to see her just to stand on the stage in one position all the damn way. The AIWFCIY performance with Buble was wonderful and such a joy to see, especially with her moving!
I think if Glitter was based on her actual life in the 90's: her discovery, success and controlling marriage it would have done better at the box office and with critics. It would have been a great way to promote her whole 90's catalogue as well if the accompanying album was a greatest hits with a few new tracks.
Would have been better than the uninspired 80's throwback that we actually got. It's a good cheesy film and the album had it's moments but overall, a damn mess.
I agree. But now I wouldn't want another movie. Would she play herself? I mean, she obviously can't play her 20-year-old self. And if I imagine someone else play Mariah

I wish she'd work with the producers that did Lana's Born To Die album as well. The production is amazing.
If she gave us something like 'American' or 'Lucky Ones' I'll be slayed beyond belief
Oh Gosh, I hope she doesn't. It suits Lana but I don't want caterwauling from Mariah.

I love the Rainbow album cuz it's so happy and free.
Mariah actually seemed unrestrained in it. Even if it was a biT tacky.
I don't think Rainbow was tacky. A little trashy maybe but not in a bad way, more in the late-1990's-kind-of-way. I think it was liberating and carefree for her to play around like that (not regarding the rushed release etc.).
My definition of tacky would be the following:

I always forget that Mariah collaborated with Pitbull on Angels Advocate.
It kinda bops though.
He should be on the new album.
I totally supplanted the existence of this. This is utter generic track, and I wonder if Mariah ever agreed or listened to it because she would clearly hate it.
As a lamb I can handle much but a real collabo with Pitbull and I might have to die

I never see Angels Cry get any love in this base. The belting in the end is sooo good.
You never see any because it doesn't deserve any.
I love love love the melody and the vocals and yet I can't bare to listen it due to the lyrics. They are so uninspired, drippy, and tacky that it hurts my heart that she – who had created Butterfly, an album that deserves the Noble Prize in Literature tbh (and called Hero cheesy or whatever ) – supposedly wrote and sang lyrics that dumb.

I wonder if Mariah likes Kanye. Remember last year there was the rumor about her going off on him say 'who the hell calls themselves Yeezus?!' and he apparently tried to talk to her but she didn't pick up.
I literarally see her looking at her phone, seeing its Kanye, and going away singing: "I ain't picking your calls up no more"

#Beautiful still slays me like it did the first time I heard it.
Me, too. It's one of her best singles in her entire discography tbh.

Lambs answer me honestly... Will you ever stan for anyone as hard as you do for Mimi? You know she's not making music forever. Her albums will be coming few and far between and you'll be older too... Do you think you will stick with her or find a younger girl to stan for?
No. I couldn't. I love other artists and their music, too, but I kind of feel like I love Mariah for who she is, too, if that does make any sense.

Not even established but already telling ha back-up singers what to do. Only the Queen
The effortlessness of the whistles
And this interview from 1998 you have to see, too: http://vimeo.com/68371431 I've been only watching it for three minutes, and there are so many festive moments in it already
EDIT: When she talks about the Honey video and how free she felt because she got to do what she wanted for the first time

I'm That Chick @ Fashion Rocks says hi
I was quite mad at her during that time. I thought she was doing absolutely NOTHING to help the album, not knowing (until years later) that Motheriah was having a miscarriage and sacrificing herself for ha children
