Episode Three:
An Interest in Fashion is Crucial
The Elimination
The time has come for our elimination ceremony. But first, I'll provide feedback regarding each of the entries.
1. sunny boy
I enjoyed the images you selected, though I do believe you could have found a better way of presenting your entry. The lack of any true formatting made your entry stand out quite a bit less than it could have when compared to some of the others. I also felt you could have done a little better of a job explaining why you chose the images. The first description was powerful, but the description for the second image was a little too simplistic.
2. DevonDreams
Embedding a song to go along with your entry was a great idea, and although the formatting did not carry over correctly from the PM you sent me, I see great potential for your use of BB Codes to create standout entries if you make it to the next round. With that said, I think there could have been a little more content behind your descriptions. What you included did not make the entry as compelling as it could have been.
3. Wonderlust
What really made your entry stand out for me was the formatting. You creating GIFs behind your descriptions, which gave the submission motion that none of the other contestants brought to their entries. I suggest working on presenting a little more eloquence in your descriptions, but your entry stood out as one of my favorites.
4. URBAN
Your model and image choices were nice, and your descriptions were decent as well. In order to make sure everything truly stands out as a unified piece of work, I recommend taking some time to craft an entry that has more compelling formatting.
5. Fever
I really enjoyed the first image you chose with Magdalena Frackowiak and the balloons. Your second image was decent, but I don't think it was the best you could have found and presented (but your description was short and to the point, which I enjoyed).
I also appreciated your efforts to craft a uniquely formatted entry. However, I'd like to see a little more consistency and cleaner design with the formatting of your future entries, should you make it to the next round. I didn't understand your text choices for the titles or the yellowish-green background color.
6. Petals
The models and images you chose were spectacular, but your description lacked a certain oomph that could have taken it to the next level. I would have loved to know who the models were and where the images came from. Also, having two images side-by-side and in different sizes made the entry look less clean. I'd have taken just a little time to at least make the images the same height.
7. Legend E
Your entry was formatted well and your descriptions were a joy to read. I do think you could have chosen more powerful images to present, but the ones you chose were decent. I really enjoyed your entry for its overall presentation. Nice job!
8. Jotham
Your formatting and descriptions were spot on, but you were only supposed to choose one male and one female image. Be sure to read and follow the rules closely. With that said, I do think you did a good job.
9. RihRihRoman
First and foremost, your entry was late (even if it was just barely past the deadline). If you make it to the next round, I expect to not see any more late entries. There aren't always going to be second chances.
The images you chose were just ok for me. The first was lower in quality, but the description was empowering to read. In fact, both of your descriptions were nice reads for me. I would like to see a greater effort as far as formatting of your entry goes.
10. Marvin
Your entry was submitted late, which I was disappointed to see. Overall, I loved the images you chose and your descriptions were solid. However, like so many of the other entries yours was lacking unique formatting that made it stand out even more.
11. Spring Breakers
I feel as though you could have done a lot more with your entry, especially keeping in mind that it was submitted beyond the deadline. You also could have chosen between one of the two photos of Kiko, especially since she was in the same outfit in both. The challenge did call for one photo each of a male and female subject.
As far as formatting goes, I felt yours lacked inspiration. Your descriptions would benefit from a little more depth as well.
