Somewhat, sure. But Pink and Christina are actually seriously respected as artists. And are actually praised by people outside of the Teen Choice Awards. They are praised consistently for their talents and stuff. So it's definitely not all Nostalgia.
As already said in this thread, Brit isn't really "respected". She's fairly liked. It's a nostalgia thing. No one considers her a really talented or serious musician.
I never see any of these people praising Britney's craft. With Beyonce, the industry will go on and on about how she's a phenomenal performer, with Adele it's her voice, with Taylor it's her songwriting, and so on.
The respect Britney is given starts with "she's a sweet girl" and ends with "i like some of her songs"
Here's 45 minutes of video footage of praise for y'alls satisfaction
I never said nobody liked Xtina, it was an example. The person said "celebs always give political answers" and I said "Not always, there are plenty who dragged Xtina".

Read the posts sis. Celine, Madonna, Shania etc. all praised her talent. Especially as a performer.
Christina, praised? She was probably trashed more than Britney during her peak by the GP AND the music industry. and now, either no one remembers her or she's seen as a joke.

when people refer to Self Titled they refer to the way it was released. When do people actually praise the album itself?
along with 98 degrees, Usher, Mya, Christina Aguilera, NSYNC, Tamia, Nicki Minaj, M.IA, Rah Digga, Deborah Cox, etc. So what
Britney is the only one to perform with both. Poor 98 degrees, Usher, Mya, Christina Aguilera, NSYNC, Tamia, Nicki Minaj, M.IA, Rah Digga, Deborah Cox, etc.
No. People who grew up with her like her because of the nostalgia (Hell, I will always adore her because she brings back fond memories of childhood), but I wouldn't say that she's 'respected'. Adored as a celebrity, perhaps, but not respected as an artist or seen as a serious musician (unlike, say, other mainstream female artists like Christina Aguilera, Beyoncé and Lady Gaga).

Aside from the many best off lists it made this year still ?
Or the multiple musical acts that praised it this year the release thing yall tried is late now.
No...most people love her for nostalgic reasons. She does represent a time in a lot of people's childhoods. Just like her 80s predecessors...Tiffany & Debbie Gibson. Many of her peers have good will towards her because it's always been said how sweet & a southern Belle Britney is. No one respects her as an artist.
