Well, not really. If you're counting solely singles, then yes, but if you want to count all of her songs that have charted, then her lowest peak is #94. "Speechless" debuted on the chart after she performed part of it on the Grammys.

A majority of the world either has never heard of or has zero interest in Lady Gaga, Britney, Beyoncé, Madonna etc.

Actually, Madonna and Britney are very widely known even in Asian and African countries. The other 2, I agree.

* No one knows who Mariah Carey is in here.
* They know Beyoncé cause Single Ladies was HUGE, plus she did a song with Shakira and with Sean Paul, who was very popular over here when the song came out. Irreplaceable was big as well, supported by its spanish version.
* Lady GaGa is HUGE in here too. Just Dance, Poker Face, Paparazzi and Bad Romance were all hits and everyone can talk about her. Hell, even my teachers at the university have talked about her.
* Britney was popular in here from day ONE. Every little girl knew her choreographies.
* Madonna is popular everywhere. Period.

I don't agree, I think this week his it's best week to get a new peak cuz' next week so many important albums are so there probably going to be some changes in the Top 10 in 2 weeks but as long as he doesn't fall on airplay and as we can see, digital sales haven't come down, he might peak in 3 weeks, who knows?

Well, people, what £100 meant is, whatever they are known or not
people DO NOT CARE if they're charting high, or if one is blocking other, or which one is better for which reason. THAT IS THE POINT!

Oh, you'd be surprised.
Most of the artists you have mentioned were all at least once or twice in our news channels for anything from coming to perform here up to some news about them havin' a trail or god knows what.
When you're a celeb, the WORLD wants to know everything about you and sometimes even the part of the world that doesn't want to know about you, gets to know about you and even if it's not cuz' of your music (though, it could make some people get into some artist's music) but fact is, most people know them.
And all of those have been on the media for all kind of different things, well, except for Beyonce I think and I dunno if it's a good thing or bad, though, she is very well known anyways.

I don't doubt that, but I'm skeptical that the number of people who know of those two exceeds 3 billion.

Yes. Even if 100% of the world knew about these artists, the general populace could care less about chart positions, what their next single is, whether something flopped, how much their tour grossed, and the list goes on.
