I went to Target this morning. It wasn't even noon and there wasn't a single copy left of the Standard or Target Deluxe Editions. And it was a Super Target. The entire shelf cleaned out.

I had to go all the way out to another Target to get my copy.

I don't know if Adele will even make it. On one hand you have the fact that she sold three times anyone else in the US and about 6 times the average pop girl, so hype will understandable be absolutely unreal, but on the other hand she's also a much more steady seller than a big debut-week type of artist as I see it, and she is likely to release in Q1 or Q2 rather than next Q4. Either way, Adele and Taylor are absolutely the last ones to do it, IMO - it's just a matter of whether either of them can do it in 2014/15.

A new Taylor Swift album is presumptively a massive event—2012’s Red debuted with1.2 million and has moved 4.1m RTD—but the 10/27 release of 1989 (Big Machine), the singer/songwriter’s first pure-pop set, is being watched with particular attention. Judging by current forecasts, the answer appears to be a resounding yes, suggesting she could bow as high as 1 million (such an outcome would give her a record-setting three platinum bows). In any event, it will unquestionably be the year’s biggest chart debut. Single "Shake It Off" is #1 at iTunes while other songs from the set dominate the Top 10, and the album hit #1 within 30 minutes of going live there; the boisterous “Shake It Off” is #1 at Pop radio.

My Walmart didn't have it either, but that depends on the store's personal Electronics delivery. They told me they only get new CDs on Tuesdays. Was gonna get my cousin's copy there and mine at Target.

Eh, Walmart wasn't really one of the biggest retailers for Red, so I wouldn't worry about it. It will still get 6 days from them.
