The fact that she's consistently gone up with every single release and it's her fifth album. The fact that she released it under "pop," which may not seem risky but it sort of was. That's what I'm the most proud of. And the fact that she did this in 2014, when the music market is the worst that it has ever been. Record sales in total are down 12% since Red came out two years ago and yet she bested that number by over 100k.

Congrats to Britney for keeping the record, assuming these numbers are final.

But let's not let being off by 3,000 albums keep us from celebrating the even bigger and better things that Taylor's managed to do.

It's also especially annoying when people come out of the woodwork and start throwing shade on anyone when their fave literally could not even dream of 1/5 of these sales.
