Let me ****ing stop you RIGHT there.
Missy is the biggest female rapper of all time, how the **** doesn't she have pop appeal? Missy alone broke down barriers the other gerls couldn't quite achieve. Missy was also a singer, but NO one calls her a sellout like they do Nicki.. Hmm wonder why.

I'm sorry, but no.
This is why I can't stand artists like Nicki and Lady Gaga. They come out on the scene as one persona with a very distinct song, and then a few years later, switch up practically everything and claim they were just faking in the beginning. That does not excuse anything for me. Nicki had a legion of fans based on who she was and what she rapped about. So, no one has any right to say us former fans are salty are wrong. If Nick was the girl she is now when she first came out, I would've never wasted a moment of my time even checking for her. If this is who she is now, great, but I am not supporting it nor do I like it. She will remain a sell-out to me.

I mean, yeah I may not like Roman Reloaded, but you have to admit she's hot.

But Kim lasted for 10+ years and nicki is changing her image way too fast. She's only been around for a minute. She needs to maintain some consistency in order to have longevity.

She can keep trying to appeal to the "pop audience" when in the long run they just gonna turn on her like they did Nelly, 50 cent, etc... Urban may not be the biggest selling audience out there, but they will ALWAYS have your back.

That house looks like it's gonna crumble during a magnitude 1 earthquake.
And that tacky tennis court, the trees, the design and the house looking like some amateur architect project model. No wonder she could afford it...

People forget Missy molded female hip hop from what it once was. Unlike Kim and Foxy, she didn't have to suck a dick to sell a record. Spot the lie.

!!!
and Missy did singing AND rap, and NO ONE called her a sellout.
But don't discredit Fox and Kim though, they were co-signed by the best rappers (Nas, Biggie, Jay) for a reason.

Kim has released 4 albums with the last flopping. Nicki is on album two and will most likely surpass the sales of Kim's. She may have been around for 10+ but she for damn sure hasn't been relevant for all of them.

She's speaking on their behalf. Selling yourself to the illuminati grants you success and immortality.

And don't get me wrong Kim and Foxy can spit, but Missy worked her way to the top. And well, we have all seen 'Notorious' so...

What kinda delusions? Missy made her own sound and made it mainstream. She didn't hop on a generic pop sound to sell records. Just stop.

Now tell me which and how many were those years where she is silently fading to obscurity?

Yeah, I did say in 'Can Anybody Hear Me' that Def Jam said I'm not Lauryn Hill. Just to be fair to Def Jam, I've heard some great things from them. Like you know, all the labels have been really great - great things to say about Nicki Minaj but that was one thing that a friend of mine from Def Jam said - and he didn't even say it in like a negative way he just said 'Y'know Nicki you're not Lauryn Hill' and I had to like really pause for a minute 'cause..... I know that. I know I'm not Lauryn Hill. The point was, you can rap and sing and be successful, and you can act and you can do all of those things and that's just my point like who says that I can't put a CD out and rap and sing on it? Who says that? Like, why do we have to conform, why do we have to play by your rules; I don't get it. I just don't get it.

Honestly, she's NEVER preached anything different. Go Youtube search a ****ing 2007/08 interview. This **** ain't new, she's been getting this heat from the beginning and time and time again she explains herself candidly, yet in a matter of fact manner. People just come to conclusions and don't even bother to make the effort to understand her. They just find her annoying, say they don't like her, yet can't shake the itch to bash her when the opportunity arises.

Kim was popular from 1995-2005, I think in the industry (especially for a female rapper) that's impressive. And you can't compare sales of a female hip hop rapper (Kim), to a bubble gum pop act (Nicki) who raps once every blue moon.

Gerl, Nicki was not talking all of this "**** the streets, **** doing it for the hood" mess she's talking now. In fact, she was trying to BE hood and project that while she was doing her mixtape thing. That just solidfies how much she sold out.

None of the stuff she is saying now is new. She's always built herself up to be more than just a rapper. She never boxed herself in so idk why the rest of you are doing it for her. Let her release a damn pop song. She sure as hell isn't hurting anyone. I hope some of you in here are as passionate about your annoyance with her as you are with things that actually matter in life. All of this **** aint that serious.

Assuming you listened to the first half of her newest album, what would classify that as? You know she has a new album out right? Wait, do you even know who Nicki MInaj is?

I understand how the urban audience can feel about this but they have to understand she has to evolve or she is going to flop.
I like her more now than I've ever liked her. Not saying that I haven't liked her but I like her more now.

So you mean to be "hood" is to limit your own potential, sis?
