Professional acrobats usually specialise in one discipline, two at most. Over the last 10 years (it's been 10 years since the Try This tour which featured an aerial silks number), P!nk performed aerial silks, aerial net, trapeze, bungee, aerial rope, aerial hammock and two apparatuses that were specifically made for her. That is 8 different disciplines. She also did some hand to hand and acrobatic gymnastics during try and wicked game but we'll focus on the aerial stuff right now.
Professional acrobats usually don't sing during their performances. P!nk does. Do you know who sometimes don't sing during their performances either? Her contemporaries. While they struggle to hold a note while standing still, P!nk delivers flawless vocals while literally performing high level acrobatics. The amount of core strength and breathing control this takes is unbelievable.
P!nk has made a career out of these skills. A career that many could only dream of. So to come for her and say that what she does is boring, even when their faves have a group of dancers perform for them while they lip synch to vocals recorded in 1997 would be a very bad move on their part.
To break down the complaint that she rehashes the same performance over and over again: VMA'S of '09 was trapeze, grammys of '10 was aerial silks/hammock and grammys of '14 was aerial rope. All of them were completely different disciplines with completely different routines. And why wouldn't she repeat the acrobatics? Her fans love it, she's earning millions of dollars because of it and it's clearly something she enjoys doing.

Amen. These pressed girls think an interesting performance entails a hair flip and dancing. Bitch, go to a drag show. They lip synch too. And it's cheaper! Lmao

10 years from now, people won't be "Hey, (enter random name) won 10 grammy's in her/his career"
They'll be like "Hey there was this chick and she's still around, she was spinning in the air on one of the biggest nights in the music industry and singing live". She will be a legend, and i don't think there is anyone who can top this really, and her idea of spinning and singing. It's a trademark now... it's her thing.
Underdogs sis, i'm gonna steal one of your avi's, if you don't mind.

I honestly can't at ATRL right now. I am not letting it get to me but the stupidity honestly hurts. They crash into every thread mentioned about her saying "predictable" and "one trick pony" but when it is one of the muppets like Britney for instance who still struggles to even find a new routine for their songs and struggles even without the actual singing, everyone praises them to the roof and back.
I am sorry, but no. We have seen the same dance routines from stars for years and the aerial stunts are automatically linked to P!nk. That is what she is known for. Oh, and not to mention, she sings live at the same time. Whilst everyone continues to say how predictable it was, I am just going to lay back and relax knowing every celebrity from that night went home talking about how great she was.

Seriously, I am aghast at the people on various sites claiming she was lipsynching, and that even the band was miming. Have they no ears? There were numerous flubs, both vocally and musically, (you could always hear her breathing and vocals jolting slightly, and Nate.... Well, he completely missed notes at times!) and poor Pink was really struggling to keep it together at the end - I'm pretty certain she landed really heavily on her chest/ribs at the end of Try, and was in a bit of pain. Watch her face - she looks close to passing out at a few points.
Makes it even more impressive imo...

I woke up sad a little bit, but I guess deep down I expected her to be snubbed again. I watched the performance in HD and it looks much better. Try routine is definitely the best and most impressive she did so far. The fast spinning was really breathtaking. JGMAR was good, but I'm glad they never performed this song on a big show before. Nate would ruin it everytime. His live vocals are not good imo.
And ATRL will hate it anyway, so why bother?!

Where did you get the HD performance?
The truth is if their fave did what P!nk did, they'd be praising him/her forever. It's all good in the end - they're just jealous (and I'm not saying this as a pressed stan).
I will just keep bumping the Praise Pours In for P!nk thread

I wonder why though - she usually doesn't have difficulty when doing the choreography. Maybe it's the new outfit?
We also didn't talk about how impressive it is for her do that and then return to the stage to belt out the high notes in JGMAR

What will she do for The Billboard Music Awards this year though? I am now excited for that
+ I really hope she has a boy as her next kid or even adopt a kid.

P!nk got ATRL hot and bothered. There's nothing new under the sun. She's been predictably slaying EVERYONE. EVERY SINGLE PERFORMER(-wannabe). And why? Cuz she can.
