AlunaGeorge
Why?: And this list starts with AlunaGeorge! I discovered them thanks to Disclosure and their amazing "White Noise". I listened to "Attracting Flies" and I immediately fell in love with the song. George is an amazing producer and I love Aluna's wonderful voice!
Tom Odell
Why?: I discovered his music thanks to VEVO. I clicked on his music video "Another Love" without expecting anything and I was amazed! All his music is great, he's a great live performer and in general terms, a very talented guy!
Bastille
Why?: I discovered their music thanks to the VEVO recommendations too. Unlike Tom Odell or AlunaGeorge I didn't like "Pompeii" at first listen, it was just ok... but the song grew on me and I decided to check out their music, really great! And they're an amazing band when they're performing live.
The Neighbourhood
Why?: 2013 wasn't the year of the alternative music for me... but The Neighbourhood is the bigest exception! Like many other people I heard "Sweater Weather" and fell in love with the song, then decided to check out their album and it was great too! A band that I really want to follow in 2014!
MKTO
Why?: I discovered their music because a friend of mine posted the "Thank You" music video on Facebook. When I saw the picture of the music video I thought they were a mediocre band like One Direction or something like that, but they surprised me! Their music is great, love that rapper/singer combination and I really can't wait for their debut album in 2014.
Watsky
Why?: I heard "Sloppy Seconds" at the British radio and I fell in love with his music! It's really great, Watsky is a talented guy.
Twenty One Pilots
Why?: These guys are amazing! Love their unique style and their album was one of my favorites one year ago. I don't remember how I discovered them... but thank God!!
Naughty Boy
Why?: I discovered him because I decided to check out that "La La La" song that was #1 in the UK charts. It was weird at first but then I fell in love with the song! "Hotel Cabana" is an ok album because"La La La" is far superior than any other song.. plus there are a lot of Emeli Sandé and I really can't stand her music. Still "La La La" is good enough to give Naughty Boy a #3 spot!
Disclosure
Why?: I discovered them because of the UK charts too, "White Noise" was one of my favorite songs of 2013. The whole album is great, love their unique production, every song is amazing! This is the type of artists that should work with Calvin Harris
Lorde
Why?: Who else but queen Lorde? and even more impressive, this is the first time EVER, since I created my first "Best Of" in 2010, that a female artist is #1 in any of my lists Lorde just released the best mainstream song of 2013 and one of my favorite albums too! Of course she's the best "discovery" of 2013!
Naughty Boy es muy buen productor pero su album no me gusto nada
Si de acuerdo, ese #3 es practicamente por lo bueno que es "La La La", el álbum no tiene ninguna otra canción que se acerce a esa, no es malo en mi opinión pero tampoco excelente.
