Watsky
Why?: I heard "Sloppy Seconds" at the British radio and I fell in love with his music! It's really great, Watsky is a talented guy.
Twenty One Pilots
Why?: These guys are amazing! Love their unique style and their album was one of my favorites one year ago. I don't remember how I discovered them... but thank God!!
Naughty Boy
Why?: I discovered him because I decided to check out that "La La La" song that was #1 in the UK charts. It was weird at first but then I fell in love with the song! "Hotel Cabana" is an ok album because"La La La" is far superior than any other song.. plus there are a lot of Emeli Sandé and I really can't stand her music. Still "La La La" is good enough to give Naughty Boy a #3 spot!
Disclosure
Why?: I discovered them because of the UK charts too, "White Noise" was one of my favorite songs of 2013. The whole album is great, love their unique production, every song is amazing! This is the type of artists that should work with Calvin Harris
Lorde
Why?: Who else but queen Lorde? and even more impressive, this is the first time EVER, since I created my first "Best Of" in 2010, that a female artist is #1 in any of my lists Lorde just released the best mainstream song of 2013 and one of my favorite albums too! Of course she's the best "discovery" of 2013!
