Nicki will flop. We can't afford her doing these types of decisions. If The Re-Up is a project on which you're supposed to attract and garner attention from your previous lost Urban fans, this is not the song to do it. I'm specially discouraged with the Cassie feature on it. Cassie brings absolutely NOTHING to the song. Her vocals are weak and lazy, and she's irrelevant. She's a one-hit wonder stuck in 2006 like Honey said, nobody's checking for her, so why have her featured when Nicki could've done her parts alone?
The song sounds like a recycled dated demo from years ago, and even if its a grower, in no way this is LEAD SINGLE material. Whoever chose this as the first offering from The ReUp must get his ass fired from Young Money. I actually like the Pink Friday teas the song gives, but its still falls weak on its 'lead single' status.
As a stan, of course I'm gonna support it, but I can't predict success for it. It will probably perform like RBMS did or a bit better considering it has 'lead single' status, but I do not have high expectations for it.

I heard it when I woke up... said pretty much the same thing.
Then I downloaded it on iTunes thinking "Okay, lemme get into this in the car" - but I was driving my ass around today just mad. Every single time I started to bop, Cassie brings the funeral procession. This song is a mess. Nicki's verses SLAY (as far as DELIVERY) but her auto tuned hook and Cassie's droning in the chorus is just out of place.
I wouldn't be mad if this just had popped up on the Re-Up track list, but to LEAD IT and set the tone???? ... for Champion, HOV Lane & I Am Your Leader to be paid DUST - for THIS. For THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And then I am now even annoyed with Nicki's verses. Yeah her flow is SICK but she is still just bragging. She is still talking about Haiti and how cold her ice and ***** is. She's just saying it faster. And half the **** Nicki is talking about has nothing to do with what Cassie is talking about!!!
PFRR urban tracks **** on this song. Roman Holiday ***** on this. Come on a Cone ***** on this. I Am Your Leader ***** on this. Beez ***** on this. HOV Lane ***** on this. Roman Reloaded ***** on this. I am growing more pissed about this re-release by the second.
What SHOULD HAVE HAPPENED is she PROMOTED her urban work BETTER. The reason most people were pissed is because they weren't SEEING urban Nicki; us FANS know it was there. But the public sees pop Nicki. Starships on Idol, Turn Me On NBA All Star, Starships on Ellen, Starships Starships Starships while Beez gets relegated to the ****ing BET Awards. And it took me a second to realize this, because I would get so irritated when everyone kept bringing up Starships but then I realized that is all that was exposed.
The closest she got to properly promoting an urban song was I Am Your Leader on Today Show.
And THAT is the ****ing problem with this era. There is NOTHING WRONG with the urban tracks on this album - it's just that nobody is seeing them. So for those amazing songs to be SCRAPPED (ESPECIALLY Champion, which for the love of god had the potential to be the M4L of this era) is some complete and utter ********.
And for the plan to STILL BE to release Va Va Voom - THEN WHAT THE **** IS THE POINT - that is STILL gonna get all the attention!!! This is a complete waste of time.
