I don't care if they listen to the song, I don't care if they sing along - what I do mind is the covers. Seeing a white person seriously, and with passion, sing the line "I love my negro nose and Jackson 5 nostrils" makes me cringe.

I'm not even taking this that seriously, its just fun to get the #AllLivesMatter crowd riled up.

When I do sing songs by women I usually always edit it so it's appropriate for me to sing. I don't sing "boy", I switch it to "girl", for example.

That is not what I asked. It's not about changing the gender position. It's about feeling like you have to personally relate to songs you enjoy or you can't enjoy or sing them. I haven't personally sold 50 million around the world, but I still go off to Diva. Where yo boss at? Right down the damn hall, Bey, but I'm still going off. And I damn sure wasn't a single lady when I was dancing around my room in 2009 or even now. As long as the good intent and the message of a song isn't lost, why try to stifle how people enjoy it? What is truly offensive about white people embracing black culture and looks, as long as they're not appropriating or disrespecting it?
