Producers sometimes are mixers. (I'm sure DJWS mixed/and mastered too on ARTPOP which is why I feel like a lot of the songs come across as lifeless no shade to him I love his production)

Well yeah, it definitely can. But he's been with her since the beginning so this isn't really anything to worry about. It's basically just setting the album to be a complete project.

Can you list some examples of the terrible ones? Idk how to tell good mixing from bad mixing.

Aura's demo lol. Also Gaga's version of Stache. It was never mixed/mastered, she literally just recorded her vocals and pasted them into sync with the music.

Aura was mixed correctly. The main problem is vocal recording and editing stage. Very important is mastering - Gaga's records are always too loud (see: loudness war)

Interesting. So for Aura the issue there was just the quality it was extracted at, I'm assuming? And yeah I can see her songs being too "loud" as a thing.

@ Neptune, it depends. They could be mixing only a few songs. They could be mixing the whole album. We're not sure, but clearly they're still not finished.

In the book I read about mixing and mastering u can notice differnce by listening various mixes by Nirvana - Smells Like Teen Spirit, it's easy to understand after you give a listen which ones are good and which are bad
