A performance is weighed differently then actual commercial success of one's music and brand. But I shouldn't have to tell the Monsters that because that's ALL you guys knew between 2008-2011.
Now, it IS ironic how she allegedly invented the current era in pop music yet her pop album and pop songs have all flown below the radar on charts and award shows all over the world. This isn't shade. It's an observation.
On one hand, it's great that Gaga can still captivate. No one, with common sense, has even denied her being a great performer. But to claim she invented the current era in pop music, when for the past year she hasn't been able to adapt to said current era and establish commercial and critical success past having to dabble in jazz music is very...weird, no.
But congrats to her!
