It's not dummy. I read it well and clear.

The current era is a continuation of previous eras. Pop culture doesn't happen in discrete packets. It's all one long time line.

But if you wanna be technical, in the "current era" people are turning to more instrumentally led music like Adele, Ed, and Sam Smith. No one is wearing meat dresss or w/e.

Well I have a newfound appreciation for her..only because she tried something different by doing jazz/tributes..and sounding great.

I think this new "gaga" is what she needed not only to remain relevant, but to give her inspiration for her next record.

I'm not totally bought on her pop music reign again, but this is a step in the right direction.

But as of recently it's been Gaga that has been the pioneer of that movement since she's debuted. You're right she didn't invent anything, but she has moved it forward since she's debuted. The article is more of a praise and overstatement than anything else. I love Gaga, but I'm not delusional either. Just overjoyed that people are happy with her again.

Then the early '00s brought back the shock value, then they disappeared for a few years and then they came back with Gaga, and now they're gone again. I mean just look at Gaga's own image now.
