IMO, I don't see her as a fashion icon. I've not heard of anything selling out just because Rihanna wore it, but then again I don't pay attention to that type of stuff. I only know that Bey sells out damn near everything she's spotted in because the Hive researches it. But people claim she's not a fashion icon. Whatev. Different story for a different day. Anyway, I don't see her style influencing trends. I see her dressing like Tumblr and Instagram girls...
But I'm going to be passive and just let the Navy have the fashion icon thing. Because musically, Rihanna is no one's full package. She's not influencing musical trends, she has no memorable performances, iconic moments, she doesn't have a signature style because every era she jumps on a new fashion trend. She just there to serve bops and make her record label money.
The Navy better hope like hell she can sell more then 3 million albums with R8 with all this hype they're trying to create.
