I'm actually confused, I don't exactly know what you're trying to say.
It went #6 on Country, that's good for a debut single, but nothing jaw-dropping, in my opinion.

Yep. It did well on radio, but the amount of copies it has sold is astounding for a debut single. My question is, what's the indicator of a successful Country song? Reaching #1 on Country Charts? Having the most airplay on Country Radio? The amount of copies it sold (physical & digital)? Or combination of everything?

Taylor Swift might get it played on Pop, but she wouldn't make it nearly as successful on country, she'd probably flop miserably like WANEGBT and Begin Again.
Also lets be real here, Taylor would probably destroy the lack of vocals she already has if she even tried to sing, stop living in a fantasy.

Again, what's the indicator of being successful as a Country song?
And boo, not everyone has to be a powerhouse vocalist. There's a room for everyone. Personally, I don't like listening to someone shouting at my ears for 5 minutes straight. I prefer the smooth, soothing vocal to that. It's more pleasant for me.

If we go with this logic, from my observations of songs on the Country radio chart: '80s Rock or Southern Rock tunes + little bits of Banjo & Mandolin = Country song, right?
Then what's wrong with calling Pop song with Banjo & Mandolin as Country song as well?
