That's because it's not any of you guys' birthdays. It's Jesus's birthday and CHRISTmas is supposed to be all about him. Presents shouldn't stop you from enjoying christmas.

It's not just the presents. I don't feel any joy in celebrating Christmas. It feels just like any other day.

Are you a christian? Are you with your family? I mean, there is really alot you can do to bring you joy on Christmas.

Play a family game with your family, go shop for presents and take them to your neareast homeless shelter. Find friends, go to the mall and sing jingle bells. I mean...

I know what u mean but this year has been off for me ever since October i been feeling strange i wasn't excited for Halloween like i use to didnt care for thanksgiving and i could care less about Christmas its like all my joy has been sucked out this year.. lol

I feels more like Christmas for me this time round! I'm 19 now. I've accepted that it never be as exciting as it was when I was little but its still nice to celebrate with family.

I don't think I could get through winter without a Christmas and New Year it speeds things up.

Nope, I feel the same way.

This month went by too fast for me and I didn't even get to enjoy it. I didn't feel like watching Christmas movies or music like I'd always do. This Christmas was rather bleh for me. Funny, because I should be happy I'm getting the presents I'd wanted, but I'm not. It's depressing. And this is probably the last I'm celebrating Christmas.

This happens once you start getting older...the magical feeling of Xmas with Santy Claus and presents is gone. Now it's about celebrating with loved ones. I see my parents a lot, so it's not HUGE, but then my nieces come from out of town, as my boyfriend does as well, and then it's a fun celebration.

I think we're still stuck in the transition part where we start to realize what Christmas is really all about. We still want to hang on to that cozy, warmth feeling of opening a Christmas present and your heart starting to pump with joy as you get the present you wanted. We all want to still be in those times when we thought Santa was real, when we sang and learned Christmas choirs in school and watched those movies and heard the holiday songs. But as we get older, Christmas becomes all about hanging with the family celebrating life with loved ones, and the cozy feeling we used to get from the presents, becomes the cozy feeling we get from the closeness of the family together.

It isn't the same. Now, Christmas is really for the children. I'm excited to see my niece and nephew enjoy the day.
Anyone over 18 no longer gets Christmas gifts in my family.
Although me, my parents, and sisters exchange gifts on New Years.

I think you loose of that Christmas essence as you grow up more and more, and then you'll reach that age when you start to gain that Christmas feeling again. In other words, maybe you're growing out of it? To me Christmas isn't the same just because there is no snow where I live. It's just not the same without White Christmas.
