We grew up. Christmas is just about being with famIly and getting a break from school and or work.

I do miss that excitement and festiveness that used to take over me leading up to Christmas. Now we don't finish finals until the ****ing 21st and it really doesn't allow you to be all cheery and in that spirit.

Yup, as I said, it's just you growing up.

I guess you CAN recapture that magical feeling once you have your own kids and they give you the gifts. My Mom and Dad get really nice stuff from me, since they spent so many years buying us kids stuff.

I haven't been into Christmas for a few years now. It's not because of the lack of gifts or not believing in Santa, I've had wonderful Christmases without those. It's just kinda depressing now. For me at least. There are personal reasons for why I'm not feeling the holidays at all this year, and I think that Christmas has become obscenely commercialized now. Never in my life have I related so much to Charlie Brown.

I don't know, maybe I'll only be able to feel the magic again when I have children of my own. Right now, I feel really jaded about Christmas.

The lack of snow is depressing and completely ruins the holiday spirit.

For some reason though, Buble's Christmas album REALLY puts me in the holiday spirit. :festive:

Christmas doesn't feel the same because you realize..it's no different than any other day of the year, you just get a few presents. There's no magic.

Yeah, today feels just like a regular Sunday. It's sad to say, but I really do not feel the Christmas spirit. I know it's because of me growing up, but a little piece of me still longs for that bit of excitement I used to feel Christmas Eve.
