I know what you mean. There are some things that I said and heard when I was younger that freaked me out, but I now understand what it really means.

That was how I felt as I got older. When I found out they were fake, I would still be worried that they would somehow come and get me. That happened to me on Halloween, too. I would put a bunch of stuff in front of my door, hide a knife under my pillow, and wait for Michael to come. Looking back, I had a really messy childhood.
