I don't follow her, but I don't think Amy Winehouse was everywhere in terms of promotion. But you missed the point, and I am not surprised. If Britney were on Michael's level, then she would her albums today would be doing 2-4x better on a whole. Britney is doing just alright when it comes to her albums these days. Sales have decreased since, but if Britney were on Michael's level then she would be doing above the standard...but she is not. Britney has not bested Michael or Madonna, even for today's standards.

Yet Madonna's discography still eclispes Britney's. Spears is very successful, she is iconic, and her discography has done great; but she isn't coming for Michael or Madonna.

Cyndi Lauper is way ahead too and is she up there with her discography? No. Number of years in the industry and success/impact are not the only indicators of success. Janet Jackson came before Mariah Carey, but that didn't stop Mariah Carey from having more #1s....

Madonna had sold more because she is Madonna. I'm sure Britney has outsold some mainstream acts that have come before her, no?

Anyhow, Madonna is the Queen. I don't care if she had 100 flop albums, the fact is she is more successful than Britney in majority (I believe all) aspects.

That is not what I am trying to say. My biggest point is that Britney should be on this magnitude that puts her albums pass the standard. As of today, Britney is getting surpassed in albums by many. Michael and Madonna were not always on top no, but I am sure they had more moments on top that lasted longer. Britney will continue to be successful, but I don't see how she is going to top Madonna or Michael.
