the funny thing is: They expect their favs like Rihanna, Britney, Taylor, Katy, or Gaga to be praised. However, give them the same stage like Bey and see what they do with it and what Bey does and it become totally obvious that most of them are manufactured and actually have no craft whatsoever. Rihanna can't even get through 4-5 minutes of singing and dancing without having the biggest breathing problems ever, similar to Ariana, Katy, and Taylor.. Britney isn't even trying
You can ONLY be overrated if your achievements OUTWEIGH your effort.
This YEAR Beyonce has given us (the award winning) Formation song and video, a clothing line, a (Twitter-busting) Superbowl performance, a Visual album (on HBO), a secret (platinum) album, a record breaking WORLD TOUR and now made history at the VMAs.
Most artists couldn't do that in their lifetime, yet alone in eight months!
Her achievements MATCH her effort! She isn't overrated. She is being given her just dues!
She can only be considered overrated if you can name another (living) artist who does what she does and doesn't get recognised for it.

Before any other Hive call white trash some artist, people saying Beyoncé is overhyped doesn't mean they think she's not talented.
Definitely Beyoncé - over rated, over hyped and over exposed by the media.
Others became icons and legends because they were natural forces of nature, but Beyoncé's isn't authentic. She is marketed so heavily as an icon, that it now feels manufactured and not authentic.
She's just a regular pop star with a whole load of propaganda behind her, Lemonade's sales aren't anything amazing, BEYONCÉ's sales weren't amazing, 4's sales weren't amazing. Further more the hits aren't there anymore.

I do love her music pre-BEYONCÉ/(self-titled) but the last things she put out weren't THAT good. Also, there's no denying she's an excellent performer, she's just over-hyped/rated/exposed.

Gaga can do EVERYTHING that Beyonce can do. Only difference is that Gaga is more versatile.

You know damn well if she were given 15 minutes to perform at the VMAs like Beyoncé this year, she would put on one hell of a show.
Gaga can do EVERYTHING that Beyonce can do. Only difference is that Gaga is more versatile.
