Gaga is far from being comparable to Marilyn Mandon (a huge icon, btw) and she's free to do whatever she wants, musically, visually, etc as long as it's executed well. However, there's more pressure on her to stay "interesting" and excel everything she does.

She's kind of the polar opposite of Beyonce. Rihanna just lets her hit singles do all the talking. Beyonce's strength isn't in singles or hit songs so she must rely on media saturation/massive promo/dozen music videos

Rihanna has incredible radio presence, and that's the best promo.

Alicia, Bruno, and Robin (if you want a 2013 album) have all promoted more than Justin has.

Since I'm on this forum I've never deleted anything.

Objective, Critics loved Y&B and Buz Luhrman films had multi nominations and did win some Oscars.

Subjective, I believe Y&B is the best film song I've heard so far this year, hence why they used the

tune as an "idée fixe" in the movie and I believe it will win the Oscar and when not, I'll not be disappointed.
