Yeah, the song started being written almost a year ago and then she picked it up and wrote her verses on it. Luckily, she liked the demo of it enough to keep me on the song. And then about a week ago I got a call from her team and they wondered if I could come to Scotland and do the song with them. So yeah, it was the debut of this single featuring me.

I think she's more known for her features. I get that the three you mentioned happened to be solo but I'm not seeing this person with over 55 chart entries on hot 100 known for 3 solo hit songs verses the many features she's had and done.

Not necessarily true. She's even admitted that some people only support her features or if a male (well in her case the same thing) is on the song and many non stans think she slays features more than her own stuff. That said I agree it doesn't hurt popularity but I do think people take notice of someone slaying a solo song without going too pop or too controversial but just on the merit of the song.

Had she sang the chorus herself, this could be an example.
