All the expansions and stuffs are disgustingly awful.The cool kitchen one is tragic.But Get Together gets the crown for the worst sims expansion ever.They are s greedy

Sims 4 is a good game but the loading screens ruin everything.Is it just me or i get promotions really slow ?
And when i try testingcheats true and then try to change the needs and the social life (or whatver its called) it doesnt work.

You should have claimed the free Ultimate Collection when it was still available . I was so glad I could get rid of my dusty physical Sims 2 CDs and just know that I have it forever on Origin. Not like I play Sims 2 anymore though

You can still claim TS2: UC as long as you have a serial/code.

Talking about TS2 UC, I fixed the paul.dll issue but now it sends me this message "Internal error: Unable to find Language file lang.ini" and it really bothers me because I can't find any solution and I really want to play it.

I was already not feeling Sims 4 by the time I saw the art direction for it. Instead of going more hyper realistic like current trends, they went the minimalist road with the blocky and cartoon approach like an updated FreePlay game so it's their loss, saying they want it like that so it will go easier on people's computers is just pointless since most gamers already have a somewhat good rig nowadays to begin with

If you ever heard the developers talk about the Sims 1, they said the game was to avoid realistic and photorealism art styles.

I mean, when you think about it, if we could control real looking people, and burn them alive, allow them to drown, make them have sex etc it's all a but too real. It needs the element of "this isn't real" to it.

Also the Sims community aren't "gamers" and most players on the forums can't play in ultra settings. The sims players are not heavy gamers and most are using laptops with integrated graphics or pcs from 2008.

Yeah, you can still get the ultimate collection from Origin support if you have a serial code. I have an unused code if you need one

I don't think you can buy DLC from Steam if you didn't get the base game from there But you can with Origin. Also, buying from Origin Mexico using the Hola extension for Chrome you can get them for much cheaper

Serious question to everyone that plays.

Do you have a good computer? And does it crash?

My computer is kinda old I guess, for gaming I would assume. And I always feel like I'm a second away from crashing, which takes away from the enjoyment.

I've been thinking of buying a new computer, for multiple reasons, I just wanted to know if you had a great "gaming" computer, whatever that means... Would the game still crash?

Does anyone else have similar issues. I want to enjoy the game, and when I just had the first expansion it ran relatively well. But with the expansions etc, it just crashes, if I like go into build mode, and accidentally click while it's still loading the game will just crash.

I removed mods as well, it didn't crash then, but I also didn't play for long. I then placed some new mods, and it crashed. I would like to enjoy the game with mods as well. And for it to run smoothly, no issues, or bugs. Or is this just a buggy game, because literally now one of my children in the game constantly has the sleeping ZzzZ coming out of him, even when hes away..

Please help.

My computer is kind of mid-range and Sims 3 rarely crash for me, though it's not super smooth or anything. I think the crash has something to do with the custom content you put in your game maybe?

I didn't know they said that. I've never been to the Sims forum so idk how they doing in there but yeah, you shouldn't be turning settings on max for gameplay anyway. It'd be wise not to. There are indeed people who play exclusively Sims and some light games but I'm from a place where most people would also play games other than Sims and they're pretty invested in their rig judging from what I've seen when they post their specs so that was just my assumption

I guess my choice of word wasn't careful cause in my opinion, obviously sims shouldn't look as realistic as the 3D models from those Daz3D pics but that doesn't mean the whole aesthetic for it would be minimalist too, they could have work on a balance for it like The Sims Medieval. It has somewhat more realistic looking sims than Sims 3 sims but it's gaming style is still light-hearted and has humor elements to it like the normal Sims games (it's rated PEGI-12). Also if you pay attention to the art style of it, it also has that "low poly" look that's similar to Sims 4 (notice the blocky hair with no alpha) but isn't super flat-looking and lacks details

But I would definitely like some better graphics, but hyper realism would look a bit :| in my opinion.

The graphics were initially a let down.

I have a higher end desktop I built and was expecting the Sims to at least look decent. After awhile I got used to it and enjoy the cartoonish look of the world. It actually works.

And it's not like the Sims 3 where things were too heavy. Loading a house that was a bit bigger felt like a chore.

If it's true then it kinda backfired judging on the current sales figure
