Why is it so hard to believe it were fake leaks?
1. Why would someone steal a car that is one of it's kind and keep his "backpack", and set up a whole online campagne to leak his music, in a short amount of time, while you were only aiming to steal his car, while a normal thief club would not have the technology to even set up such campagne.
2. And why would someone put the effort to leak that unrelevant music, while he also was supposed to have a song with Britney on there called "Easy". Don't get me wrong, but will.i.am is as solo artist not the biggest star (at that point, so before S&S), And there are not much people who care about a This is Love Remix, Hoola Hoop and a rough demo with Justin Bieber, which lyrics reflect it had to be a song with a girl, rather than him.
3. Why did he recorded this random video

4. Why did Nicole have to get an alterego? And why was the Hoola Hoop video in the same style as the whole "thief group".
Don't get me wrong. But all REAL hackers/leakers, would not go public like that and adress it like that. It would be TOO EASY for the FBI etc. to find them. And like I stated earlier, if this (fake) crew was there just to steal the car, where did they get the equipment en techonology together to set up such campagne, without getting caught, if you normally just steal cars...and also in such a short amount of time.
It seems obvious that the campagne was set up by will.i.am and it's team to gain some exposure, to put the attention on the project (which was low at the time) and also a way to give a "satisfied" reason to push the album back.
will.i am is as hard hardheaded as Nicole and they record 24/7, his singles didn't ha dmuch impact, so I guess Jimmy Lovine also advised to record some more and new material.
There never came reports about the leakers have been caught, no reports about will going to a courtroom and no reports about will trying to get his damage back. The leaks also magicaly stopped after he was prepping Scream & Shout and now everything goes fine.
I hope there will be a UK version with a couple of songs with her on them
