Also IDK if anyone's interested but my thoughts on the video:
I had no qualms with the campy fun concept when it was first revealed in the set photo and the trailer. Usually Katy does this kind of thing so well and perfectly on point.
However, I felt the video was poorly executed. Some scenes were visually stunning (the nude snake scene) but they didn't feel cohesive with the rest of the video. There were too many distracting elements, such as the red and blue extras. Juicy J was barely in the thing. And even though there was a plot, it wasn't developed at all and it fell flat. What happens to Katy Patra in the end? It would've been much more effective with just one suitor and to develop that throughout the full video with a satisfying ending at the end.
I guess I can only best sum up my disappointment by saying that I've only watched it twice.

I was stanning for this MV hours ago but let me b real now
I feel like Katy's been making fitting yet wonderful music videos for this era. Roar and the jungle theme fit perfectly. (It had all the lovable quirky and empowering elements of Katy & PRISM

) Unconditionally was gorgeous and fit the concept (too bad the song underperformed

) . Dark Horse is just .. everywhere. it has its fun moments and stunning visuals. But it lacks the pace the song has and fitting visuals. I still dont kinda see how the Egyptian theme works . i guess now i just have to accept it. Something epic like a real dark horse more in line with the Grammy performance concept wouldve been hella epic and on point. But this is funny, pretty, and captivating yeah, but I honestly wanted something darker for Katy since it would fit PRISM better. And who says the fun has to be reduced if that's the case?
This video is slaying tho so I cant rly complain

only on an artistic standpoint kinda ..
