Nah, I do know a few gays in my city and I had 2 relationships, if you ask me how I met my first boyfriend and how we both knew we were gay, I have no idea but I started getting into the gay clubs and bars with him and started to meeting some gay people but I don't talk to any of them, I only have 1 gay friend.
Sometimes I think it would be much easier.
