Bey is going to follow Tina Turner's lead and is just going to do it WAY better, so y'all hunties should prepare yourselves for Beys commercial comeback in her mid 40s, singing James Bond themes, getting Oscars, etc.. Y'all will GAG when Queen is going to be the first female to win 30 Grammys, getting a new prestigious award named after her, selling out tours at 55 while you're favs are vacationing. It's always been like that. See y'all in the future when Bey is going to celebrate 30 years in the industry with another multiplatinum album while your "legends" lost their selling power after 10-15 years in the business. Bey is next level, but keep bathing in nostalgia. Have fun looking at the Beyonce Tower in Melbourne and other statues that will follow. Not everybody has that.
Why's this a 50 pages thread?
There really isn't any debate here. She's only above Janet out of the listed.
If we're talking about talent only, then she's above Madonna as well.
I think predicting whether or not an artist will have an impact on future generations is trivial. Plus downplaying peoples careers who set the groundwork for Beyonce's is even worse. If Beyonce's impact and artistry will be long-lasting it will show in time, and if it doesn't, it doesn't. She's had an amazing career and her music is impacting people NOW. Thats all that matters...
