Like other people say in here, age is a huge factor, plus some of the girls already feel like the ""Beyoncé"" of the group. I don't blame them tho, they all auditioned as solos.
Now, I've been MIA about this drama thing, and I know about Normani's mom tweets, but why are so many people calling Camila a bitch and stuff?
Like I get that some of you might be against her doing a song without the girls, but I have never seen or read about her feeling like she's a star or something, can you guys help a sister out?

I honestly don't get why people feel the need to pit them against each other when it's unnecessary. I understand why, but it's just not necessary at all and totally and completely messy (even if a mod was the one who posted it).
I hope that Fifth Harmony get their stuff together and try to hash out whatever messiness there is because it's definitely not all just Camila, and I hope that Little Mix get the success they deserve in the U.S.

Not exactly true. If you go back and count their performances, Lauren is the lead in about double the amount that Camila was on X Factor.

Lauren was built up to be the lead of 5H during X Factor.

5H members work better as solo artists and will probably go onto have solo success. Little Mix, no one has a chance - but that's good for them, because they can continue to make the group their priority for the next twenty years.

I remember Gary Barlow trying to screw up Little Mix by insisting Perrie should be the lead singer, but the girls and their fans read him early and insisted that there be no lead singer (even if the girls themselves acknowledge she's their best singer). They knew it would destroy their group dynamic.

I think it is partly the pressure of the US industry. Since all these girls were put together, while having solo desires. Also the group has a very rough start, they basically are still climbing in the US and globally, they are not estamblished yet. The XFactor also is not a good platform in the US, so they had to work almost from scratch. Also the fact they they are even not created as vocal group, but more of a PCD meets DC kind of thing makes it hard. Some girls don't even appear in certain songs, which also feeds the competition claims. If they had better guidance from the moment they were put together, I feel we would have seen a complete different group.
Little Mix was a complete different story. They created a core basis in the UK for themselves. Their main point is building a suceeding career with eachother and ride the train aslong it lasts. They didn't really has any rough start and their personalities also clicked much better together

They've always shared the spotlight equally since the X-Factor, even when the judges tried to screw with them and have Perrie lead. 98% of their songs, the girls share equal time on the track. They could easily regulate Perrie as their lead with her dominant voice. They could easily just delegate Leigh-Anne to rapper of the group, or Jesy as the main dancer, but they don't. All the girls get to shine equally.
Tbh, I can't even think of another (quality) girl group that shared billing more equally than Little Mix do.

It also helps that all 4 girls are essential to the group. You can't take any single one of them out of the equation without losing the magic of Little Mix.

I don't get the age argument. Weren't Kelly and Bey 14-15 years when they started on Destiny's Child and they were able to be a group for about 10 years. So, really that excuse doesn't work for me when Destiny's Child an American group were about the same age and even younger than the 5H girls but they made it work.

Every girl group is doomed, and it's all Beyonce's fault.
The Beyonce Effect/Curse has haunted every girl group since she broke off, and had MAJOR success, and basically became a God, Every girl group has that person who thinks they're going to be the Beyonce of the group the group now. The thing is, though, is that Beyonce is the EXCEPTION. No one from DK, LM, 5H, or any other girl group will ever be as big as Beyonce, but they like to believe they will be.
So until the US can have a true girl group that realizes that none of them will ever even come close to Beyonce's success, and that they need to reach success as a single unit, we will constantly see groups failing.

It's interesting that the camaraderie yall notice within LM is even expressed in their music. Pretty much every song on Salute and Get Weird has their sisterly bond at its core. And LM are writing these songs themselves - this isn't some theme being pushed onto them. I don't see that in 5H.

Didn't Destiny's Child switch members like 4 times though? I really don't think it's comparable

In the end 5H could learn a lot more from Little Mix if they want to stay long in the industry.

Coming in as a new stan to 5H, it's disheartening to hear about how much conflict their is with them. Makes me worried they'll be done after the 2nd album.

They aren't really writing all the songs by themselves, that's just PR. Syco hires writing camps for most their tracks as well.

I can't wait for Camila to go solo and let the girl shine for themselves...I do think Camz will flop and Lauren, Dinah, Mani and Ally will only grow as a groupe and get better!

I think yes the age is important, Fifth Harmony were younger when they started they were like 15 and Ally was around the same age when the girls of LM were formed as a group and you can see that Ally is the most mature of them, the thing is 5H never learned that they are a group and literally every each one of them stans for Beyonce or at least most of the group, Normani, Dinah, Ally, they are always trying to out do the other Camila too Lauren not that much since she is not like she doesn't have so much presence in stage and is more like her talent is as a vocalist rather than dancing and performing.
The girls of 5H are an inmature mess just because Worth it is a huge ww smash, literally I hope they don't know how big the song is here in Latinoamerica they will believe they can alread disband and have a solo career.
Every each of them are a little diva, mostly Normani and Camila.
