TIHWD is currently struggling on iTunes outside of Top 150. The video has been out for 3 days now and it still hasnt reached a higher position yet...things are not looking good.

Her name is what carries the songs at first and gives them a head start, but then the song has to carry itself.

If a single flops, it flops on its own and will be considered a "flop" even if the artist had 10 #1s from an album. Of course it wouldnt look that bad.

But when u have 5 singles & more are underperformances or flops, then thats not a good look.

Roar has sold the same as Firework. Maybe not in the US but it has recovered those sales from the UK, Australia and a lot of European markets

As I said the songs still have to carry themselves. Her name alone being associated with so many big hits doesn't mean the public will automatically buy any song she releases.

Unconditionally is a loud ballad that the public just doesn't use, Birthday seems like a song from 2010 and sounded like radio-filler when I heard it on the radio, This Is How We Do is just a pretty generic sounding song altogether.

The songs aren't strong single choices, so of course they aren't going to fair well as singles. I don't know why this is so hard to understand.
