Not only the best vocalist, Beyonce is also the most talented of our generation.
He said that about Xtina...
Christina:

Rich, robust and possessing a beautiful clarity in the mid-range, Christina has one of the most beautiful tones to emerge since Mariah's debut in 1990. She arguably is the most innately talented singer of her generation.
Due to misuse and abuse, Christina's belting range has diminished over the years and her voice is thinner than ever before. Additionally, it is apparent that Christina is not aware of her weaknesses and unlike her peer, Beyoncé, has not worked to improve them or maximise her various strengths.
However, it is Christina's chest register where she struggles most, partly due to the fact that she clearly has no idea how to mix evenly or even adequately. Though she can belt as high as a G#5 in the studio, live she runs into difficulty with any note above a D5 (and, more recently, a C5 - see the Star Spangled Banner)
The OP didn't want to put her name on that description...
Really good way of putting it. Rihanna has the potential to be one of the great vocalists of pop this generation (and recently has been showing it), she just needs to work on control and really putting effort into it.
Basically and beside the few delusional in the Navy, none of us are going to deny that is she not the BEST singer but she CAN sing.
Rihanna is this generation's Billy Holiday. People criticize her for her technique and range and control but she was more remembered than her peers who had spent their whole lives perfecting their middle whatshername. Rihanna just sings from her heart and its the reason why a girl from the left side of the island will continue to dominate. Others should really take note.
FatShady is right in a way tho, he not saying Rihanna is as talented(Rih vocals are not even close) as Billie Holiday but the comparison he made is somewhat true.
Rihanna gets lots of criticism for her lack of control and vocals technic and Billie received lots of that back in the days but that doesn't mean Rih is vocally gifted like her.
^^ Is that really someone you'd call a vocal expert? No wonder she'll stay making vids on YouTube while X stays releasing music, and hitting the top 10 like this year.
The beautiful thing's that biased bloggers, and/or stans are just all talk. That's why they stay behind a computer instead of living their singing dreams like Legend X. The general public, and industry professions know X's a better, and more amazing singer than every artist listed in this thread. That's all that matters.

Even though Dileesa Hunter records music, there's a reason why no 1 cares enough to listen to her so called perfect technique. Someone who thinks she can sing better than a living legend should at least be famous. She'll stay the unheard voice of our generation with her expert YouTube vids. Anyone can get a degree but not everyone can make a career happen like she's failed to do.
