Gaga stans, you're giving Gaga too much credit and giving Madonna too little. AnotherGagaFan, it wouldn't be easy to "overshadow" Madonna considering her success. Don't you see how much success she's had since the beginning of her career? She's a huge inspiration to Gaga, and Gaga would be so different if she emerged at the same time. Think about THAT one.

Well I know Gaga going to win this battle on "ATRL" because I see that there are a lot of Lady Gaga stan on here and hey that their opinion, but in the real world , Madonna is a better artist than Lady Gaga. The reason I said that in the first place is because some of Lady Gaga music sound like what Madonna did before. Without Madonna impact, Lady Gaga wouldn't be the same artist you see today. Not saying she wouldn't making it on her own without Madonna impact or nothing. I'm just saying without Madonna impact, Gaga would be kind of different.

She has what Madonna has and the musical talent to keep the old and pressed interested.

Sadly, a couple other of her inspirations were just becoming hits/were majorly active around that time, or shortly before. Either way, Gaga would be majorly different.

IMO, Madonna. She had the "it" factor Gaga doesn't have. Maybe it's because Gaga is underdeveloped so far, or Madonna developed quickly, right after the release of Like A Prayer (album). It would be tough though

I think they would clash. Gaga is too confident and passionate to be the underdog. I just cant see it. She is daring, she'll do a lot to get to the top

I also love how in the Adele vs. Gaga thread, you make the argument that since Government Hooker is a STUDIO RECORDING, Gaga's angelic notes in the opening don't count. You say that Britney hits high notes in Toxic, but can't sing them live ( http://atrl.net/forums/showthread.php?p=7282332#7282332). Yet in this thread, you make the argument that studio recordings reflect a singer's vocal ability, and therefore Madonna's so-called "amazing" studio recordings make her a better singer than Gaga.

It is not crazy to believe that Madonna would win if Gaga and her emerged at the same time. This is a very valid opinion.

Oh please Madonna would wipe the floor with Gaga, Madonna had to battle music titans in the charts like Michael Jackson,Prince,Queen,Bruce Springsteen,U2 ,Elton John, Kate Bush countless others Gaga aka Stephanie just would be a walk in the park for Madonna, some peeps in here think Gaga would overshadow Madonna if she was in the 80's i give up lol
