I'm so glad Carly released the studio version of this,I've been obsessed since I heard it on the Gimmie Love tour. Thankfully she released Side B to hold me over until CR4.
54-DNCE-Toothbrush
[ytmini]UrUJyKsLQeU[ytmini]
The song that really got me into DNCE. Looking back at it it was definitely the weakest song on the EP and Pay My Rent definitely deserved to be the single.
53-Fifth Harmony-Sensitive
The first of MANY Fifth Harmony demos to leak this year is definitely my favorite. It was really refreshing to hear a different side of them and hope they record more songs like this for 5H3.
52-DNCE-Truthfully
If this song had came out earlier in the year it would have been way higher on this list. This song came at the exact time I needed to hear it reminding me of my crush. Thank you for this DNCE. Rumor is it's the second single too, hope they actually promote and get their second top 10.
51-JoJo-Music
This is defiantly one of the most powerful songs of this year. The only thing that I would have changed would be to touch up on the vocals to make them sound more smooth.
50-Ariana Grande-Knew Better (Part Two)
Ariana made a great decision to take the garbage that is Forever Boy out and extend one of the best songs on Dangerous Woman. The fresh production and the "play with tea,you get burned with it" line is worthy of being on replay for hours at a time.
49-Dua Lipa-Blow Your Mind (Mwah)
I'm getting to the point of overplaying this song but I'm just so glad Dua got a minor hit with this song. It's super catchy and definitely deserved to be bigger. The "Mwah" part is kind of unnecessary though.
48-Little Mix-Shout Out To My Ex
I'm not a huge mixer but Little Mix knows how to deliver a banger or two. I LIVE for the Zayn shade and the way this song sounds like an instant anthem.
47-Adele-Water Under The Bridge
I hate her for letting her best single ever flop. This was my instant favorite from the snoozefest that was 25 and was rooting for it to be a single so hard. It's so sad how she doesn't care and is just going to pay dust to it like that.
46-Jordan Fisher-All About Us
Probably the most unexpected artist on this list,I would have never thought I would be stanning a Disney boy. But Jordan's music is just SOOOO GOOD. I love how has such a unique sound and it helps that he's hot too. I really wish he could escape Hollywood Records and somehow get on Republic so he gets the recognition he deserves.
Toothbrush is cute but it's one of those rare-ish songs where the verses > the chorus.
Truthfully is very cute and chill. Not a big fan of Knew Better part 1 or 2 dd.
Water Under the Bridge Music. is so beautiful, almost cried on my first listen.
Fever My favorite from Side B, love the whole vibe of it.
This is like a less generic version of "Happy" for me. It's such an anthem even if it is unclear what Joe is singing 45% of the song.
44-Zara Larson-I Would Like
Zara is on a roll releasing her two best songs right in a row. This is just such a banger but the lyrics are kind of a cringe fest.
43-Beyonce-Sorry
The "suck on my balls" line is the best part of this song. This song is the perfect F*** You song and exactly what I would expect Beyonce to release. Plus props to her for making Becky with the good hair instantly iconic.
42-Tory Lanez-Luv
I just LOVE the dancehall vibes of this song. I heard this while on vacation in Mexico and instantly fell in love.
41-Bridgit Mendler-Atlantis (feat. Kaiydo)
This song honestly feels like an experience. I couldn't stand it when it first came out but it's a massive grower. I love how she went from pure pop to this alternative dance masterpiece. The rap is unnecessary sans the working on your nerves part.
40-Tove Lo-Lady Wood
This is the only song I truly love on Lady Wood. It's just so damn catchy and there's just something so magical about it. Even though this would tank I really want it to be a single in the future.
39-Bruno Mars-That's What I Like
Like Lady Wood, this is the only song on 24K Magic that has any replay value for me. This should have been the lead single over the other trash he released. It's such a fun throwback tune, hopefully its the second single.
38-Lady Gaga-Million Reasons
This is one of the only good songs on Joanne so I'm glad it was a single. Even though it's my favorite songs on the album it's nothing near as good as anything on The Fame which is sad. It's still an amazing ballad with a unique message.
37-Kehlani-Crzy
The production on this song is stellar. I love the lyrics and the iconic Snapchat filter that went along with this song. It sucks this didn't blow up when songs like Black Beetles did. This song goes CRAZY.
Although this single release was ruined by Charlie's obnoxiousness it's still the best thing he'll ever release. The melodies in this song are so amazing. And Selena just takes it to a whole new level.
I Would Like + Sorry We Don't Talk Anymore, Atlantis and Million Reasons are all fantastic
Whew @ the rest of these, SLAY at you picking some of the best album cuts
Good Day, Lady Wood, That's What I Like
Good Day is nice! Would Like is growing on me lately.
Atlantis my favorite from this set
Million Reasons is cute, and I kinda like the music video, ATRL does too much
I've been obsessed with this song ever since the perfume commercial snippet was released. The only thing I would change about this is polish the vocals but other than that it's fun essential Britney.
34-The Chainsmokers-Roses (feat. ROZES)
The Chainsmokers will honestly never come close to topping this. It's a shame Closer was a #12 week number 1 while this masterpiece barley cracked the top 10.
33-Ariana Grande-Let Me Love You (feat. Lil Wayne)
\
I absolutely love urban Ariana. She really delivered with this song but the rap verse is so ****ing annoying especially when we have songs like Side To Side that are explicit. This song also has a fast expiration date but I can still appreciate it.
32-Hailee Steinfield & Grey-Starving (feat. Zedd)
This song may be basic, but if it's not broke there's no point in fixing it. It's such a chill breakdown and easily one of the best EDM songs of the year. Time for your album Hailee, sis.
31-Shawn Mendes-Treat You Better
Shawn could have had a GREAT album if he went to go in this direction, but instead we got 45 minute of lullabies. Plus I have to acknowledge how much of a step up from IKWYDLS is.
30-Rihanna-Love On The Brain
Phew lord Rihanna truly blessed everyone with this soul inspired bop. Even though this isn't as good as Kiss It Better it's such a bop. Rih's vocal delivery is great too.
29-Fifth Harmony-Scared Of Happy
When 7/27 first came out me (& everyone else on my timeline) were dragging this song to the pits. But over time this song grew and became one of my favorites on the album. It deserved to be released as a single but unfortunately wasn't. All 4 girls & their pet goat really killed it.
28-ZAYN-Pillowtalk
Even though ZAYN flopped to oblivion I'll forever be grateful he gave us this gem. It would be even more perfect if it was more graphic. The music video looks like a Tumblr aeshetic bloggers wet dreams.
27-G-Eazy & Bebe Rexha-Me Myself & I
If any song had to be G-Eazy's breakout hit then I'm glad it was this one. With his fire verses and Bebe's amazing hook there's nothing not to love about this song.
26-Beyonce-Don't Hurt Yourself (feat. Jack White)
This was my absolute favorite song when Leomande came out. Everything about this song is so unique and it's something I would never expect Beyonce to do. This truly deserves it's Grammy nomination for Best Rock Song and I really hope it wins.
Treat You Better is nice! Agree with Roses! that masterpiece deserved Closer's run
PILLOWTALK is my jam and I love Me, Myself & I too, one of my favorite songs.
Private Show is okay but it has a lot of flaws, mainly the vocals. Let Me Love You is cute but Wayne's verse...
Shawn, Rih, G-Eazy/Bebe ZAYN Bey/Jack White My 2nd fave from Lemonade!
Hailee/Grey/Zedd making an appearance Starving is so slayful.
Chainsmokers/ROZES here as well, yessssssssssssssssssssssssss
