WaiT, she performed on that bar somewhere in Nashville, right? And Nashville is known for country music. Maybe she chose the songs with the most country influence because she's performing them to a crowd that likes country music.
That's what I said, and yeah I agree. I reckon everyone here is freaking out a little bit immaturely, I just see it as her really going for the whole Nashville, bud-light, classic, dive bar aesthetic.
I woke up to the new songs and, as I suspect it's going to happen all the time this era, I was shocked at first but I ended up loving all the songs. It's definitely a new direction for her, but I'm loving it, whatever the genre. And I agree with everyone who says that she chose to premiere these particular songs in Nashville for obvious reasons. I'm expecting her to do songs with a different sonic influence wherever she performs next, since she said that there are many different genres throughout the album.
Screaming at some people being upset that some of us like the songs though. Shoot us?

I like songs with a dark touch so maybe Sinner's Prayer is my fave, but I almost can't decide.
Why did some Monsters deny the country style influence...it's clearly there and feel like I'm in a western movie after listening the the songs. I'm in love and I'm a mess right now
