Maybe the VMA nominations and the fake back and forth between Mars and Sheeran got Uptown Funk a little extra attention on downloads this weekend, and hopefully streaming too. I'm hoping as much of an effect as UF had on Pop Culture as a whole (not just that four formats of music), that song cleans up at the VMAs this year.
Making the video and song was no small feat given the fact Mars was on tour the entire time and Ronson had to chase Bruno down in several cities to film and record both the song and video. Keep that in mind when watching it and everything just seemed to "come together so naturally all at once," because it didn't happen that way, at all. And the video turned out great without any snazzy computer-generated special effects.
