Britney Jean is actually alright (better than FF) but it's just the same dance-pop she's been doing since Blackout with a few ballads thrown it. People try say Avril shows no growth but Britney's the worst. She showed some growth with ITZ and Blackout but even then that was just building on whatever sound was hot at the time and now she's stuck releasing the same generic dance songs. On another note Jamie Lynn's vocals on CWY kinda slay.

Under My Skin showed a lot of growth as a vocalist and was a lot darker. The Best Damn Thing was totally different to her 1st 2 albums. She wrote nearly every song alone on Goodbye Lullaby and produced 2 songs alone.

Didn't Lana actually used to be a prostitue for real though when she lived in a trailer and was an alcoholic crackhead (before she got all the Joan Rivers surgery)?

If no one cared for Taylor she wouldn't be selling out stadiums in Australia right now and be getting nominated for Golden Globes.

I'm surprised that song is nominated too. I think it just plays in the credits. I always thought stuff like that was excluded since its not part of the film, but maybe only the Oscars have those standards.

Ke$ha's been reduced to a feature artist and AL (which is Av's 5th album after 11 years in the industry and isn't produced by Luke/Max) will outsell Warrior WW so Avril reigns as Queen of the flops. Still Timber is a great song so good for her I guess.

There's nothing racist about it. Everything to do with Asia these days is apparently racist. Strictly referring to the music industry, those countries aren't massive markets that one usually aims to crack. Ke$ha hasn't been reduced to anything, there's nothing wrong with doing one feature, especially if you're able to catapult back into WW success directly after two WW flops.

Avril Lavigne got a 65 on Metacritic, Warrior got a 71... the critics know the tea. But congrats to Avril I guess, because it's still a pretty solid album, I use most of the tracks. I'm just partial to Warrior since I'm a Ke$ha stan, and I know that it didn't deserve to flop as hard as it did (not saying that Avril's did, but Ke$ha's underperformance was more unjust imo.)

I know that, but Ke$ha debuted in 2009... why would I compare Ke$ha's success in 2009 to Avril's success in 2002? The music industry was completely different back then... it only makes sense to compare Animal + Cannibal to Goodbye Lullaby and Warrior to Avril Lavigne. Animal + Cannibal sweeps Goodbye Lullaby, and I'd argue that the Warrior era on the whole was more successful than the Avril Lavigne era has been.
