The Brexit camp tapped into exactly the same narrative that Trump did: Nationalism, immigration, refugees, the establishment not changing anything and politicians neglecting people in certain areas of the country.

I completely agree with the first part of the post. There's nothing exciting about Hillary. She's just incapable of inspiring crowds to #RISE against Donald. There's a big storm coming her way.

As Benzene said, UK polls are underfunded and aren't as reliable, the demographics are different, and actually Remain + Leave were always very close to each other. Clinton and Trump for the most part were not close. It's tightened recently but that's because of the FBI mess

The events from the past few days have kept the media and people in general talking about Trump. This will be manipulated to his advantage. But, as noted elsewhere, it may have just the opposite effect. We'll have to wait and see.

I feel like a good number of people are a bit complacent when it comes to this year's election. The right-wingers and the dissatisfied are easily persuaded by arguments like Benghazi and populist rhetoric. I bet you the turnout for white voters will be greater than expected in November.

The key thing will be making sure that all minorities recognize the danger in all this fear-mongering and actually go out and vote as well. Just saying that Trump sucks is not enough.
