so i don't know if i'm looking too hard at this but it feels like he's subtly telling the racist whites "yes, they don't have jobs, they're unemployed and on welfare!!!!!" under the disguise that he's concerned for them

Cause illegal immigration does need a solution. We can't, as a sovereign nation, bleed from our borders. But like, we're not gonna build a wall or deport everyone already here. Then, radical Islamic rhetoric also clashes with American values, so she can challenge that mindset (along with fundamentalist Christianity) as an affront to the constitution.
If she touches on those points with tact and sensitivity she can draw more moderates her way.

But Twitter exists. So if Hillary so much as says "It's true, we do have an illegal immigration issue..." nothing she says after that will register with the media.
I really don't think Hillary is in danger of losing since she has multiple advantages, but I'd be curious to see if the message would have gone further with a different candidate.
