Lol more like the other way around, VMA does not decide wether to have or not have Madonna performing, she is the one that chooses if she wants to perform or not and since she pays them dust they don't use ha.

The minute she needs and wants to perform they wouldn't pass on the opportunity of having her perform as she attracts millions of viewers (like on the superbowl halftime show) and they are back at kissing her ass

When are the VMAS? If they are in the next week or the one after than that then forget it, she wouldnt be in france chilling if she were performing, she is the type that rehearses a lot and prepares herself for stuff like that

I think Madonna and MTV are over each other.

MTV has lost all of its cool since the mid-'90s (look at the old guest-lists, performers and shows and compare that to now) and the only reasons Madonna's gone since 1998 are the "last of the decade" thing in '99, the "20th show" thing in 2003 and MJ' eulogy in '09. She doesn't seem that interested in it any more, she was there every other year back in the day.

And I think MTV are more focused on youth culture than ever before, and Madonna doesn't really fit the bill.
